Testing Center (Ferguson 114B)— General Policies
- Instructors may refer students to this lab for re-tests, make-up test,
on-line testing, extra-time testing, and other special needs testing.
Students in distance learning classes may make arrangements to take
proctored tests in this center.
- All students must present a picture ID and state their course number,
instructor's name and test description.
- Handbags, books and book bags may be brought into the center, but they must
remain outside the testing room in the area indicated. No cell phones, PDA’s or
pagers permitted.
- Books, calculators and other materials may not be used without explicit
instructor authorization in writing. These materials may not be shared.
- Tests must be completed in one continuous session.
- The testing Center will not remain open after the
posted closing time.
- Students may not begin a test within 30 minutes of
closing.
- If a student begins a test and subsequently leaves
the center for any reason, the test will be considered
completed.
- STUDENTS MUST PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
- Papers may not be removed from the center. Only scratch paper provided
by the Testing Center may be used. All scratch paper and other test
materials must be returned to the proctor’s desk before students leave the
center.
- Completed testing materials will be delivered to the referring instructor's
campus mailbox by the testing proctor each Friday. The instructor may
collect the completed tests in person. The Center will not grade the test
nor disclose any results.
- College policies regarding misconduct and academic integrity (i.e., unruly
behavior, cheating) will be enforced. Any irregularities will be reported
for action by the instructor, academic department, academic standards
committee, Dean and/or Vice President, Student Services.
