The Advertised Job Market includes classified ads, company websites, employer hotlines, job banks and Internet job listings. Although job seekers are often comfortable with using job ads, the process is sometimes very slow and frustrating because for every ad, the employer might receive as many as 50 applicants. For more experienced or specialized workers, the advertised job market may be even smaller because employers will often use referrals or their network to find qualified candidates.
