This course provides a continuation of SPA 211. Emphasis is
placed on the continuing study of authentic and representative literary and
cultural texts. Upon completion, students should be able to communicate spontaneously
and accurately with increasing complexity and sophistication. This course has

SPA 221 Spanish Conversation
Prerequisites: SPA*212
Corequisites: None
This course provides an opportunity for intensive communication
in spoken Spanish. Emphasis is placed on vocabulary acquisition and interactive
communication through the discussion of media materials and authentic texts.
Upon completion, students should be able to discuss selected topics, express
ideas and opinions clearly, and engage in formal and informal conversations.
