Ways to Help
Individuals wanting to help A-B Tech’s Student Culinary Team make the trip to the American Culinary Federation's national championship in Orlando in July can dine out or make a bid on Father’s Day auction items to raise funds.
Fiore’s Dining Out Fundraiser
On June 22, Fiore’s restaurant on College Street in downtown Asheville will donate 20 percent of the day’s proceeds. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner is 4:30 to 10 p.m.
Father's Day Auction
The Father’s Day auction will begin June 15 and end at noon June 18. Participants should select the number of the item from the list and make a bid via e-mail to lsokol@abtech.edu. The College will send an update on the bidding each afternoon.
Auction Items:
- To Market To Market: Bring a friend and shop at the Farmers Market with an A-B Tech chef. Come back to A-B Tech to cook with the chef.
- An elegant night at Melange B&B in Hendersonville; $25 gift certificate from Blue Water Seafood in Hendersonville.
- Pirate for a Day: Afternoon of sailing with the Commodore of the Asheville Sailing Club; Bottle of Captain Morgan Rum.
- A sumptuous night at 1900 Inn on Montford; Four plush spa robes to keep.
- Cozy Comfort: Handmade cotton afghan (52” x 72”); Gift basket from The Chef’s Table (coffee mug, honey, jams, olive oil, cedar grilling papers); Bottle of Torronte’s2006 from Pannotia Vineyards.
