Continuing Education
The Office of Continuing Education offers classes and training through the following divisions:
- Corporate and Economic Development Services
- Occupational and Public Service Training Programs
- Emergency Services Academy
- Community Service Programs
- Basic Skills
Instruction within these areas is designed to support the economic and cultural development of the community and its citizens. Courses are built upon the concept of lifelong learning and for convenience, are offered at a variety of times and locations.
As outlined in the Continuing Education Mission Statement, "We are committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and the community by offering learning opportunities to promote personal, workforce, and economic development." Student, community, and industry needs addressed through the Office of Continuing Education include higher academic education, basic employment and educational skills (including Adult High School Diploma, GED, ESL and Compensatory Education programs), computer certification training, computer training, ISO certification assistance, Six Sigma quality, Lean Manufacturing, job training and retraining, personal growth and development, and community and economic development. In addition to educational offerings, the four divisions also provide assessment, consultation and technical assistance for individuals, businesses, industries and public and private sector agencies.
