Stars Shine Among Us

Debby Harmon

Dr. Debby Harmon, director of Counseling, talks about what inspires her about A-B Tech during the Invitational Education Committee's Second Annual "Stars Among Us" presentation April 28 in Ferguson Auditorium. Harmon talked about the inspiration she receives from students who persist in college despite challenges ranging from homelessness to divorce to serious diseases. She shared the bill with five other stars: Russ Yelton, executive director of Entrepreneurial Ventures and Business Incubation; Skye Myrick, associate dean of the Emergency Services Academy; Joyce Dover Evans, Accounting Clerk/Student Accounts; Developmental Studies Instructor Ron Layne; and Barbara Brownsmith, director of Adult Basic Education/GED Prep/Adult High School. Invitational Education Coordinator Heather Vaughn also presented A-B Tech's first Invitational Person of the Year Award to Harmon.
