Cornwell, Crompton Named Invitational Education Award Winners

Communications Director Mona Cornwell received the April Invitational Education Award.

Tracy Crompton of Plant Operations holds his May Invitational Education Award.

Mona Cornwell, Communications director, has been named the Invitational Person of the Month for April, and Tracy Crompton of Plant Operations was selected for May.

"Mona never loses her balance no matter what the demands. She stays positive and helps the College meet the public relations challenges of the moment. Her calm approach helps us all keep a sense of perspective in times of change. She gets the most out of scarce resources without complaint," according to Cornwell's nomination.

"It doesn't matter what the weather is, cold, rain or heat ... he does his job with a pleasant attitude," Crompton's nominator wrote. "Recently a student dropped her keys in an office between a desk and the wall. Tracy set the mail down, moved the desk and retrieved the keys, all with a smile."

Nominations for the Invitational Award may be dropped in any student suggestion box or sent in the campus mail to Carol Fleming. The nominations are due by the 24th of each month.

Forms are available online as well as by the student suggestion boxes, Records and Registration, the Business Office, Holly Library, and the division offices. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to nominate individuals for the award.
