Scholarships Awarded to A-B Tech Students Through NCCIA

Julie Moore

Julie Moore received the David Harris Memorial Scholarship.

Jamie King

Jamie King received the Pearson Education Scholarship.

Seven students received merit scholarships through the North Carolina Computer Instructor's Association. The NCCIA was established in 1994 to meet the needs of training and sharing information related to computer technology.

Each year, the NCCIA arranges sponsorship for several scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to selected students and faculty. Although the NCCIA was not able to have its annual conference, several sponsors were still willing to continue funding for the student scholarships. Seven scholarships were available this year and all seven were awarded to A-B Tech students.

Julie Moore received the David Harris Memorial Scholarship ($750) and Jamie King was awarded the Pearson Education Scholarship ($750) during A-B Tech's Academic Awards Ceremony April 21.

Michael Henderson was awarded the McGraw-Hill Scholarship ($500), Joe Emory received the Course Technology/Cengage Learning Scholarship ($500), Garth Atkins was awarded the Paradigm Scholarship ($200), Lauren Klocko received the NCCIA Scholarship ($200) and Chris Lochart was awarded the Annelle Pegg Memorial Scholarship ($750).

We would like to thank the sponsors for their continued support, which allowed these scholarships to be available to our students.
