A-B Tech instructor and artist Lynette Miller was among 34 artists chosen from 76 entries for "The Rauschenberg Tribute Exhibition" Aug. 30-Oct. 22 in Robert Rauschenberg's hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. Rauschenberg expert Susan Davidson, senior curator for the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, selected the works.
Miller said the late artist's innovative approach to art making has had a tremendous impact on her development as an artist, and that "the exploration of possibility in both materials and concept has always been at the heart of my work due to my exposure to the work of Robert Rauschenberg." She teaches Digital Photography and Photography Appreciation.
Miller also had pieces exhibited at the Maryland Federation of Art through Oct. 18 and had a piece accepted at the Bascom Center for Visual Arts in Highlands which runs through Dec. 18.
