Regulations

In conjunction with the regulations on the Facility Usage Agreement, the following regulations apply when using a conference room or classroom at the A-B Tech Enka Campus:

• The College provides no services; your reservation is for the room only.
• The College does not provide special setup, and any classroom furniture that is rearranged must be reset.
• Groups are responsible for their own cleanup. Equipment and cleaning supplies are available on premises.
• All groups must complete and sign a Facility Usage Agreement provided by the Enka Campus Facilities Coordinator.
• In the event of non-returned equipment, or damaged property relating to the room usage, costs will be invoiced to the person/organization listed on the Facility Usage Agreement.
• The situation could arise where A-B Tech would have to cancel your reservation or move your group into a comparable room in the Haynes Center. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified.
• Please do not list A-B Tech as the contact for information or registration.
• Please return any borrowed mobile equipment.
• Please turn off all equipment when you’ve finished using it.
• Please bring your own class consumables such as paper, pens, markers, etc., as we cannot supply these.

Non-Profit Organizations may not always be eligible to receive a discount of 50% off the rental rates based on whether the agency is conducting official business and charging registration or other fees; please provide Facilities Coordinator with current 501-C3 and details of the program fees for consideration.

NC State, County, City and Municipal agencies may not always be eligible to receive fee exemption(s). Waivers will be determined based on whether agency is conducting official business and charging registration fees.

Logistics

Room availability: Can Trainers get in to the room the night before or at 7:00AM the morning of the training?

Security can open the doors at 7:00 am. Earlier access by request.

Room Maintenance: Who will be responsible for cleaning at the end of the day (i.e. dumping of trash, etc.)?

A-B Tech’s policy prohibits food and drink in the classrooms; food and drink are permitted in the conference rooms, providing you clean up any mess and put trash in the appropriate receptacles. Equipment and cleaning supplies are available on premises. You are responsible for resetting any moved furniture or equipment, and putting your trash in the receptacles provided; our janitor will empty the trash in the evening.

Parking Information/Fees: There is ample parking around the building including handicapped spaces. Parking in the reserved 15 minute spaces in the circle drive in front of the building is prohibited; no permits are required; parking is free-of-charge.

Local Catering and Hotel Information: A list can be emailed to you; we do not make the reservations.

• Please do not list the Facility Coordinator as the contact person with email or telephone number on your letters, informational flyers, etc.
• Please make the registration information clear on your correspondence with your participants; A-B Tech does not handle your registration.
• Please come prepared for your event; the Facility Coordinator may not be available to assist.
• If you would like a local map with directions for your participants, an electronic version can be sent to you for you to forward out as necessary.
