What is the goal of Course Design?
Course Design or Intentional Education focuses on improving the "process of education" rather than its "content"; it values and supports both faculty and students. It focuses on a clear statement of educational outcomes and promotes the use of course and program data to drive improvement. High value is placed on achieving goals through teamwork, collaboration, and communication.
Intentional Education contends that educational practices can be improved. This philosophy does not subscribe to the theory that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," but rather challenges us as educators to continuously evaluate our educational processes and analyze our students achievement.
