A-B Tech employment application
To be considered for any position at A-B Tech, applicants must submit a complete A-B Tech application, which includes two (2) completed reference forms, transcripts (if applicable) and a letter of application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the application contains all required documents. All requested information must be received by the deadline date. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time clinical instructor (Tuesdays for summer semester)
DUTIES: Supervise students in classroom, lab and clinical environments. Develop teaching materials, outlines, activities, and handouts for lab and clinical activities. Travel to various clinical sites is required. Develop teaching materials and activities for assigned courses. Provide supervision and instruction for both day and/or evening students as assigned. Provide demonstration of and evaluate return demonstration of assigned surgical technology skills. Maintain professional certification and seek opportunities for professional development. Perform duties as assigned by Program Chair
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (1) Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST),
(2) Associates Degree in Applied Science in Surgical Technology or a related field or a higher degree, (3) Minimum of two years work experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), (4) Current unrestricted NC drivers license
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: (1) Teaching experience at the college level, (2) A Variety of Surgical Specialty Experience, (3) Member of AST (Association of Surgical Technology)
