A-B Tech employment application


To be considered for any position at A-B Tech, applicants must submit a complete A-B Tech application, which includes two (2) completed reference forms, transcripts (if applicable) and a letter of application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the application contains all required documents. All requested information must be received by the deadline date. Incomplete applications may not be eligible for consideration.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Part Time

DUTIES: Teach courses in the Computer Technologies Department. Instructors are needed for web design, operating systems, hardware, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop courses.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (1) AAS degree in Information Systems or related field. (2) Two or more year’s experience in the computer information systems industry. (3) Excellent communications skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: (1) Baccalaureate degree in computer field. (2) Documented successful experience in technology training of users in a college setting.

SALARY RANGE: Course rates vary. Course payment is contingent upon meeting all scheduled class hours and fulfilling the adjunct contract for instructional duties. Contact Pamela Silvers at (828) 254-1921, ext. 249 for more information on salary range and hours.

Screening of applicants is normally done within one to two weeks of the closing date. Interviews are usually scheduled within three weeks of the closing date. Applicants selected for interview will be telephoned and those not selected will be contacted by mail.
