POSITION OPEN: Medical Surgical or Pediatric Clinical Instructor – Part Time, Department of Nursing
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Fall semester 2009
DUTIES: Supervise nursing students in clinical med-surg or pediatric hospital setting; participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation activities to improve the instructional quality of the nursing program; maintain professional certifications; maintain competency in the area of assigned responsibility and have current knowledge of nursing practice for the RN and LPN; seek opportunities for professional development, and perform duties as assigned by Department Chairperson.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (1) Hold a current unrestricted license to practice as an RN in NC (2) Hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution (3) Minimum of two years work experience within the past five years as a registered nurse. (4) Current CPR certification for professional rescuer
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: (1) MSN with concentration in nursing education (2) Clinical teaching experience at the college level
SALARY RANGE: $29.75/hour
