A-B Tech Writing Center Opens For Fall Aug. 26

During the fall semester, the Academic Learning Center and the English Department will once again be partnering to offer A-B Tech students a wonderful opportunity for help with their writing assignments. The A-B Tech Writing Center in Ferguson (Laurel) 114 is available to students in all curriculum programs. Beginning Tuesday, August 26, the Center, which is staffed by English instructors and its first peer tutor, will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to help students improve their writing in all stages of the process (pre-writing to final drafting). For the first time this semester, the Writing Center will also offer a Tuesday evening tutoring session from 5:30- 7:30 p.m., designed especially for students in evening and on-line classes. continued...

Dosumu Joins A-B Tech As Instructional Services Vice President

Dr. Samuel Dosumu has been named vice president of Instructional Services at A-B Tech. He had served as the dean of the School of Business and Information Technology at San Juan College in Farmington, N.M. for the past five years. Prior to that position, he was the senior academic director at University College at the University of Denver and was director of instruction at the Colorado Community College System central office in Denver. continued...
