Farm Outreach Program Manager - Blue Ridge Food Ventures

Blue Ridge Food Ventures has a part-time position available for a Farm Outreach Program Manager. This person will work as part of a team to help farmers in western North Carolina develop value-added products, manage the Winter Sun Farms CSA program and promote Blue Ridge Food Ventures to a variety of audiences.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in running a business, with budgeting, cash flow and financial analysis experience.
- Familiarity with commercial food processing equipment.
- Experience working with farmers and small farm production.
- Knowledge of the specialty foods industry.
- Ability to write grants and reports for different audiences.
Required Education and Skills:
The candidate will preferably have a degree in agriculture, business, foods, marketing or related fields. The applicant must be self-initiating and able to multi-task effectively in a complex environment. This individual must demonstrate effective human relations skills and be able to work collaboratively. A high level of computer skills with the Microsoft Office package, QuickBooks, email, and internet browsing are required. A valid driver’s license is required and a moderate amount of travel in the region is expected.

Spray Foam Installer - Endless Supply

Position: Spray Foam Installer
Description: Prepare site, spray foam, clean up site
Position reports to: Project Manager
Responsibilities: Carefully protect customer’s property from damage related to spraying, apply spray foam within product specifications and project requirements, maintain equipment in good working order and take care to avoid damage, clean up site and equipment daily and leave project cleaner than it was started.
Requirements: 2+ years construction experience, good physical condition, ability to lift weights exceeding 50 pounds unassisted and weights exceeding 500 pounds assisted. Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and navigate attics and crawl spaces as needed. Candidate must have own transportation and be willing to travel overnight for out of town projects.
