  • Education: Stetson University – B.S. in Physics and Biology; Duke University – M.S. in Biological Anthropology & Anatomy; Western Carolina University - Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
  • About Me: I have lived in Western NC since 1999 and in Asheville since 2007. I played rugby for 10 years, including about 8 years with the Asheville Men’s Rugby Football Club. I have served as a coach for the Asheville Women’s Rugby Football Club since 2016. I like running and mountain biking. My entire professional career has been working with community college students. My passion is assisting students, both as an advisor and as an instructor of biology.

  • About Me: I have lived in Western, NC for 8 years and absolutely love it. My partner, Matt, and I have two kiddos, Zaiden and Kolson. I enjoy the outdoors including hiking, kayaking, and camping as well as snowboarding! I love working with community college students. They inspire me daily and being a part of their academic journey brings me great joy.

  • Hometown: I was born and raised right here in Asheville, NC.
  • Joined A-B Tech: I started teaching for A-B Tech as an adjunct in Business Administration in 2015 and then became an Academic Advisor in 2021.
  • Education: I received my AS in Chemical Engineering from A-B Tech and my BBA and MBA in Business Administration from Montreat College.
  • About Me: I began my career working in restaurant and retail management then moved to Chemical and Fiber Research and have my name on two patents. I began working in college student services and teaching in the early 2000s where I developed a passion for education and teaching. I’ve lived in and around the Asheville area my whole life. My wife and I have raised 4 children and we have 7 grandchildren. I love working in education and helping individuals reach their full potential.

  • About Me: I have lived in WNC since 2016, but I was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains. My husband, Dennis, and I love to explore all the trails in and around Asheville. I have two children, Wyatt and Sumer. And two grandchildren, Carleigh and Deakin. If I am not out exploring nature, you might find me crocheting by the fire.

  • About Me: I have lived in Asheville, NC since 2007 and nearly always have 2 beautiful dogs! I enjoy spending time in a natural environment, especially hiking, kayaking, gardening, and floating. My professional career has been working with students in multiple capacities, and I am thrilled to expand this to include advising and teaching college students at AB Tech!

  • About Me: I was a white-water raft guide on the Chattooga River for 8 years before returning to college. As a non-traditional student, I started my academic career at a community college. I enjoy helping students figure out a path for their academic and professional success. I have a passion for personal well-being. I work with students to help them increase their happiness and well-being to create a strong foundation for their success in all areas of their lives. I have lived in Asheville for 18 years. I have two children, Isabelle and Desmond, and a ridiculously cute dog, Balto. When not working we get out on the river as often as we can. We also do some gardening (albeit, not terribly successfully). My family and I volunteer with the LEAF Global organization, supporting its mission of global arts education, cultural preservation, and diversity.
