Application Period Information
Below you will find information about current and upcoming application periods for Selective and Limited programs.
To learn more about the application requirements, first, schedule an appointment with a Student Advisor on the Student Advising Appointments page. Advisors can be reached by emailing advising@abtech.edu.
Student Advisors are also available to meet in person Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Bailey Building at A-B Tech Asheville. No appointment is necessary.
2024 Fall Selective Programs
Beginning April 29, 2024, the following programs will be accepting applications for alternates.
- Associate Degree Nursing
- Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Practical Nursing
- Surgical Technology
- Veterinary Medical Technology
Medical Laboratory Technology has moved to Limited Programs, more information is under the 2024 Fall Limited Programs section.
From April 29, 2024, to June 28, 2024, A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the Paramedic to ADN program. Application criteria are available on the Associate Degree Nursing Advanced Placement Paramedic to ADN Admissions page.
2024 Fall Limited Programs
Students are accepted into these programs on a first-come, first-served basis and the programs fill quickly. For more information, email advising@abtech.edu. For program application criteria and application dates, see below.
Beginning May 9, 2024, A-B Tech will begin taking applications for the following programs.

2025 Spring Nursing Programs
A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the Spring 2025 Associate Degree Nursing and LPN to ADN Advanced Placement programs beginning September 3, 2024, to October 25, 2024. Updated application criteria coming soon!
2025 Fall Veterinary Medical Technology
A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the 2025 Fall Veterinary Medical Technology program beginning September 3, 2024, to October 25, 2024. Updated application criteria coming soon!
2025 Fall RIBN
A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the 2025 Fall RIBN program beginning September 3, 2024, to February 14, 2025. Updated application criteria coming soon!
