Financial Aid Dates & Deadlines


Important Details

Dates listed are anticipated and are subject to change without notice.

Each semester, your loans will be disbursed in multiple payments, the details of which can be reviewed on our semester specific pages below. Your balance with the school will be subtracted from the first disbursement.

You must be actively attending or have already completed, a minimum of 6 in-program credit hours to receive a loan disbursement.

If you would like to reduce your loan amounts or cancel your loans entirely, you must complete the Direct Loan Adjustment Form that can be found on our Forms & Resources page and submit it to the Financial Aid Office no later than 4 days before the first disbursement date.

Courses that begin after the first week of the semester will not be factored into your financial aid eligibility until 10 days prior to the course start date.

Semester Specific Dates & Deadlines

 

Scholarships

The scholarship application deadline for Foundation scholarships has been extended to May 1. This is the last deadline for students to complete the general online application for the 2020-2021 academic year. Complete the Scholarship Application today.

  • January – March Deadline extended to May 1: Online application available. Visit our Scholarships page for details.
  • April – May: Scholarship application reviews and selections.
  • June: Award notifications via email.

 

Appeals

Appeals completed by noon on Friday will be reviewed by end of business on Tuesday.

Fall Semester Spring Semester Summer Semester

In order to submit an Appeal, you must have a current year FAFSA application on file with the college, and provide any requested Verification documents to the Financial Aid Office before, or at the time of, Appeal submission.

May 15th - July 15th: During this timeframe, you may submit a FASAP Appeal Request for the Fall semester.

Appeals will not be accepted after this date.

If you have a special situation that has prevented you from submitting an Appeal during the
specified timeframe, please contact us with details.

Before doing so, please review our Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FASAP) policy and our Appeal Process.

If your Appeal is Upheld, you must submit a completed Student Support Plan to the Financial Aid Office by 5 p.m. Monday, August 19th, or your Appeal will be retroactively denied.

 

In order to submit an Appeal, you must have a current year FAFSA application on file with the college, and provide any requested Verification documents to the Financial Aid Office before, or at the time of, Appeal submission.

December 2nd - December 18th: You may submit a FASAP Appeal Request for the Spring semester.

Appeals will not be accepted after this date.

April 1st – May 1st: If you are currently suspended, you may submit a FASAP Appeal Request for the summer semester during this timeframe.

Appeals for the summer semester will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

You must submit FASAP Appeal Requests to the Financial Aid Office in person unless you have made alternate arrangements with a financial aid staff member.

  • Students may only submit one FASAP Appeal Request per academic year.
  • Students who successfully appeal Maximum Timeframe suspensions must graduate within the academic year of their upheld FASAP Appeal Request.

 

Income Adjustment Request

Fall Students: March 1st - August 15th: During this timeframe, you may submit an Income Adjustment Request. Requests will not be accepted after this date.

  • Requests submitted during this timeframe, if approved, will see any related aid adjustments processed and made active for Fall and Spring semesters.

Spring Students: November 1st - January 3rd: During this timeframe, you may submit an Income Adjustment Request, provided that you have not had a disbursement of financial aid in the fall. Requests will not be accepted after this date.

  • Requests submitted during this timeframe, if approved, will see any related aid adjustments processed and made active for spring and summer semesters.
  • Income Adjustment Requests are not processed for the Summer semester.
  • Income Adjustment Requests will generally take 1-2 weeks to be reviewed and processed (if approved).
  • By appointment only.

 

Financial Aid Refunds

All financial aid funds, except work-study paychecks, are disbursed through BankMobile. The date by which you will receive your funds depends on the BankMobile refund preference that you select. Visit BankMobile, for more information about your refund choices with BankMobile.
