The Executive Committee of the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College Board of Trustees convened a meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. in the Simpson Building. John Parham, Chair, presided.
The following members of the Executive Committee were present: Joe Brumit, Frances Ramsey, Roger Metcalf, and Matt Kern.
Others present for the meeting included: Dr. John Gossett, President; and Carolyn Rice, Secretary to the Board.
Closed Session
At 4:00 p.m. Mr. Kern moved that the Executive Committee of the A-B Tech Board of Trustees go into closed session pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a) (1) and (3) in order to discuss confidential personnel matters pursuant to G.S. 115D-27-29 and to discuss matters protected by the attorney-client privilege. Mr. Brumit seconded the motion.
At 5:05 p.m., Mr. Kern moved to return to Open Session. Dr. Metcalf seconded the motion.
Return To Open Session
At 5:06 p.m., Mr. Kern moved to resume monthly Board Meetings. Mr. Brumit seconded the motion which passed by unanimous consent. The motion will be presented to the full Board in August for final approval.
Adjourn
On a motion properly made the meeting adjourned at 5:07 p.m. by unanimous consent.
