A-B Tech employees volunteered to help score students’ essays on March 21 and 22 for the “Do the Write Thing” project, a collaboration between Asheville and Buncombe County Schools, and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office and Asheville Police Department.
It is a national competition where sixth to eighth-graders write to three prompts, either as fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. The two winners from our area will get a trip to Washington, DC to receive their awards.
