Jeremy Jackson, who left A-B Tech in 2014 after earning three degrees, received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the College of Health and Human Performance at East Carolina University in December.
Jeremy, who was designated as a special needs student as a child, excelled at A-B Tech and credits the faculty and staff. “A lot of the instructors were not afraid to step in the role of mentor.”
He was an active member of the college’s Minority Student Leadership Academy and was one of the first recipients of the 100 Men and Women Minority Scholarship awarded through the College’s Foundation.
Members of the A-B Tech faculty and staff who went to wish him well on his big day were Phyllis Utley, College Liaison for High School Programs; Dr. Joseph Fox (retired), and Angela Calhoun, Library Assistant. Not pictured is Leronica Casey, Scholarship Coordinator.
