A-B Tech is hosting an Industrial Sewing Mini Job and student registration for an Industrial Sewing Class from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Transformation Village, Asheville, 28806. Register for the job fair here.
This is an opportunity to meet face to face with local employers, explore local employment opportunities, and learn about tuition assistance and scholarships. Participants may also register for the upcoming Industrial Sewing class that runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Oct. 10-28.
This course provides instruction on the basic principles and practices of industrial sewing. Emphasis is placed on machine operation, setup, and maintenance, sewing straight lines, corners, curves, and seams.
Upon completion, students should be able to set up and operate a variety of industrial sewing machines and leave with several finished projects, including bags, home goods, and a knit t-shirt.
