Staff Association thinks creatively for a win-win!

When the pandemic hit, the Staff Association’s plans to deliver one or two large group professional development sessions through generous College Foundation funding had to be suspended.  However, this didn’t prevent us from finding a positive solution to the problem.

We are delighted to announce that all staff (full-time and part-time) can now apply for funding to cover the tuition fee for taking Ed2Go classes through our Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development.  Classes last six weeks with an average time commitment of four hours per week.  New classes begin every six weeks.  There is an impressive array of courses to choose from and the application process for funding is simple via this form.

Once your funding is approved by the Staff Association PD Mini-Grant Taskforce, you will register online and the Staff Association will pay the tuition fee directly.  Not only will staff get great professional development opportunities at no personal cost, but this initiative also generates FTE (full time equivalent) funding for the college.  We call that a win-win!
