Deadlines are approaching for A-B Tech's summer 2017 programs to Guatemala and to Ireland!
For more information on any of our trips, contact us at Trips Abroad for 2020 or at globaleducation@abtech.edu. All of our trip prices include international airfare, transportation, accommodation, most meals, program fee, insurance, and cultural activities. Payment plans available, and students receiving Pell Grants can use their disbursements towards one of these trips. All trips are led by a faculty member and allow students full cultural immersion with local people.
The Guatemala trip will be from May 20 - June 3, 2017. The trip costs $3,000. The heart of the service project is at an orphanage, Eagle’s Nest. Here is a video of their location and children that they serve: Heroes: Eagles Nest Guatemala Orphanage
There will also be day trips and cultural experiences to learn more about the culture. We can incorporate your interests and educational goals into this trip, so it is meaningful to you!
The Ireland trip will run from June 5 - June 19, 2017. The trip costs $4,000. The area is characterized by dramatic landscapes of ocean and mountain, dotted with historical and cultural features. The ancient and the modern co-exist in this part of Ireland and offer a safe, friendly, and exciting experience. Here is a short video of our base in Bundoran: Institute of Study Abroad Ireland- our location Also, opportunities to view art, participate in outdoor activities, and learn about civil rights issues of Northern Ireland are part of the trip. You will experience all things Irish: culture and history, surfing and Gaelic sports, and rural towns. There will also be trips to Galway, Sligo, and to the city-based museums of Dublin.
