This scholarship was established in memory of Hamilton Gregory, a former instructor at A-B Tech and in memory of his late wife, Merrell, the former Public Relations Director at Mission Hospital. Hamilton Gregory taught English and Public Speaking at A-B Tech for 33 years, twenty of those years as a full-time instructor, and the rest as an adjunct instructor. In 1988, he was named A-B Tech's Instructor of the Year. This scholarship is provided to students enrolled in the A.A. degree program with an interest in Communication. Other qualifications include a minimum of 2.75 GPA. Applicants must have taken a Communication course at A-B Tech and one of their references must be from that instructor. Students who have taken more than one Communication course at A-B Tech will be given priority. Declared Communication majors in the Communication Pathway will be given the highest priority.
The scholarship application process for Foundation scholarships begins January – April.
