For concerns regarding issues with students, faculty, and staff while in the program, follow the chain of command. Document concerns in writing using date, time, place, name, and description of incidents or issues.
In all nursing courses, students must earn an exam grade average of 77% consisting of module exams and the final exam in each course in order to pass the course. Exam averages are not rounded.
During the first semester, all students will be assigned a nursing faculty mentor. The faculty mentor will meet regularly with the student to support their growth and development as a nursing student. The mentoring experience may be broad and include emotional, professional, and career support.
If a student chooses to withdraw from a nursing course, they must follow the college process for How to Withdraw From a Class. A withdrawal from a NUR course counts as an unsuccessful attempt.
Safety is our highest priority. Classroom doors will be locked at the beginning and during class. The door will close on the hour, and roll will be called after the door is closed. Classroom doors will not open until the break.
