There are many opportunities to get fit and stay fit at A-B Tech. Not only does A-B Tech offer a variety of curriculum fitness courses and programs, but there are also a number of free ways to get exercise in between classes.
Open Gym Hours – Fall 2020
Students and employees must leave their A-B Tech ID cards with the Student Worker before being allowed to work out.
Weight/Cardio Room Hours

Participants must leave their A-B Tech picture IDs with the student worker.
Proper attire must be worn in order to use the gymnasium, weight room, and cardiovascular equipment. Only plain water allowed inside the gym and fitness areas. Everyone MUST present their A-B Tech ID card and leave it with the Student Worker BEFORE being allowed to work out. They must also sign in each time they use the facility.
Open Hours change each semester.
Intramural Sports
Intramural volleyball, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, basketball, pickleball, and corn hole are offered during the fall and spring terms, and are open to faculty, staff, and students, from beginners to advanced athletes. Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, participants can choose to take part in either the 11 a.m. or 12-noon sessions. Each session is one hour or less. The only requirements to participate are proper athletic wear and shoes, and volleyball participants need to have some prior experience in the sport, such as varsity, club, league, or previous intramural experience.

Walking - Anytime!
Asheville is full of beauty and there are many amazing views on A-B Tech's campus. Take a walk around campus and breathe in the fresh air! There is even a walking trail through the woods that begins at the picnic tables by the Maple Building and ends near the Sunnicrest Human Resources building. Below are one, two, and three-mile walking maps that you can use to chart a course around campus.
