Cristian Lara

Cristian had dropped out of high school and was working in construction when he enrolled in A-B Tech’s Workplace Preparation and Introduction to Machining (WPIM) program for multilingual learners. While completing the machining course, Cristian also prepared for his high school equivalency diploma. In one semester, Cristian obtained both his GED© and a national certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

A-B Tech connected Cristian with Dodge Manufacturing, where he now works as a machine operator with full benefits. Cristian has already received a promotion and hopes to continue studying at A-B Tech to earn the Advanced Machine Operator certificate. “My shift at Dodge always flies by,” Cristian says. “I am learning so much every day.”
