Requirements for Applying For WIOA Short-Term Training Funding at -B Tech

  1. Must be over 18 years old and a Buncombe County Resident.
  2. Meet income guidelines or be a dislocated worker.

  4. Register online at NCWorks.gov.
  5. Be able to provide the following documentation:
    1. Current government-issued photo ID
    2. Verification of current address (i.e. utility bill)
    3. Social Security Card
    4. Birth Certificate
    5. Income verification for the past 6 months (pay stubs, bank statements, etc.)
    6. Family Size verification (tax return, lease)
    7. Education Level (GED, HSD, School Records, transcripts)
    8. Food Stamp and/or Work First verification if applicable
    9. All male applicants born after 1960, unless exempt by law, must be registered with Selective Service. This can be verified during the appointment.
    10. Verification of dislocated worker status (lay-off letter, unemployment benefits letter), if applicable.
