Continuing Education Online Registration


Credit card payment is required when registering for Continuing Education classes online. You may use MasterCard, VISA, or American Express. If you prefer to use cash or a check, you may register by mail or in person. View CE Registration Office: Location, Hours, & Payment Options.

Continuing Education Refund Policy

  • If a student officially withdraws prior to the first class meeting, the student will receive a 100% refund; Motorcycle Safety excluded.
  • If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, a student will receive a 100% refund;
  • A 75% refund will be issued (Self-Supporting classes with prefixes CSP and SEF are excluded) if the student officially withdraws prior to or on the 10% point of the scheduled hours of the class.
  • No refund will be made after the 10% point of the class.
  • The insurance, technology, and supply/lab fees are refundable only if a class is canceled or the student drops before the class begins.
  • Refunds are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Get on the river! Earn the fundamental skills needed to become a white water raft guide. Learn to read white water, use river signals, maneuver and rig rafts, tie knots, work with guests and other basic river operations. Great preparation for those considering seasonal employment opportunities in the mountains. Students must be 18 years of age to register and must bring ID verifying date of birth to class. Online registration is now available. Class meets at French Broad Adventures in beautiful Marshall, NC.

This course teaches students the material needed to become a notary and provides an exam. Upon class completion with a passing 80% exam grade, a person is eligible to apply for a commission with the NC Secretary of State office. Other eligibility requirements for notary commission are that a person must: be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the U.S.; be able to speak, read and write English; have a high school diploma or equivalent; and reside or have a regular place of work or business in NC. Students must present a current photo ID and have a copy of the required textbook to be admitted to class. Textbook: N.C. Notary Public Manual, 2016 Edition. Books are available to purchase at the Asheville Campus or A-B Tech Madison.
