Tired of Waiting?
Did you sign up for a class only to find out it's been canceled? Do you really like waiting around to see if that class will be offered again? Here are a few things you can do to help keep your selected class on the schedule.
- Register early -- do it today! Each class has a minimum required enrollment. Once that number is reached, the class is a "go."
- If you find a class you like, encourage a friend to join you. Sometimes two or three people make the difference between "Go" or "Cancel."
- So Don't wait! Register now, because classes will be canceled if the minimum is not met a week prior to the start date.

Student Eligibility
Continuing education course offerings are designed for adult learners. In special cases, 16 and 17-year-olds will be considered when (1) there is available space in the class and (2) they obtain the required permissions and signatures on the College’s Minor Permission Form.
Books
Because of the high cost of books, we only have students purchase textbooks when they are essential. Students should bring the book with them to the first class.
Textbooks can be purchased at the Asheville. Books are available at A-B Tech Madison for classes scheduled at that campus only.
To find textbook information, you will need to know your course's Term (IE Winter, Spring, Fall, etc.), 3-letter course label, and 4-digit course (section) number - this information can be found in the continuing education schedule.
- Example Class: A+ Certification Prep - ELN-7400-400
- Course Label: ELN
- Course Number: 7400
Visit the A-B Tech Bookstore page to check information on textbooks.
