Since she was a child, A-B Tech student Chantelle Brisbone’s heart has always ached for homeless people she passed on the street. “If I had five dollars, I’d give it to them,” she said.
As a kid, Kimsey Roman, 23, moved a lot and spent a lot of time trying to fit in. Her family moved from the small town of Ducula, Georgia, to California and Florida, then back to Georgia. By the time middle school rolled around, she felt like a stranger among longtime classmates.
Resiliency was on display as A-B Tech celebrated its 2025 High School Equivalency Graduation on June 5, which drew a crowd of about 500 people.
