If a student chooses to withdraw from a nursing course, they must follow the college process for How to Withdraw From a Class. A withdrawal from a NUR course counts as an unsuccessful attempt.
Safety is our highest priority. Classroom doors will be locked at the beginning and during class. The door will close on the hour, and roll will be called after the door is closed. Classroom doors will not open until the break.
A-B Tech nursing courses may include a portion of the content that is delivered online by virtual technology. Virtual learning expectations are the same as face-to-face. The following are additional virtual learning expectations:
Audiovisual RecordingAudiovisual recordings/photographs may be obtained while in a Nursing program for the purpose of education. Experiences in the high-fidelity simulation rooms and online virtual lectures may be recorded.

A-B Tech utilizes a variety of technology throughout the nursing program. A laptop computer with a current operating system is required. Chromebooks are not recommended. Additional specific technical requirements are as follows:
Academic RemediationAll students should utilize the academic lab offered by the A-B Tech School of Nursing. If a student’s performance is unsatisfactory, it is recommended that the student attend all available Academic Success and Exam Remediation (ASER) labs.
The School of Nursing courses utilize many ways to evaluate course success. In the class portion of evaluation methods most often used are quizzes and exams. All graded evaluations will be rounded to two decimal places (hundredth). Final course grades will not be rounded.
The A-B Tech School of Nursing offers an optional open lab to all students. All students should utilize the skill labs. If a student’s lab performance is unsatisfactory, it is recommended that the student attend all available open labs.
