A-B Tech has a partnership with the childcare center at the YWCA located on South French Broad Avenue in Asheville. The YWCA will accept children from 2 1/2 years old through the age of 10 years old. The only requirement is students participate in at least six credit hours. Students enrolled in a continuing education course, workforce development course, or transitional studies program must provide proof of participation.
If you meet the qualifications, you will receive 12 free hours of childcare per week (4 hours per day, 3 days out of the week). If you need additional time over the 12 hours and if space is available, you can pay $5 an hour.
