A-B Tech is 60 this year and we had a celebration January 16 in the A-B Tech/Mission Health Conference Center. We had a chance to hear from President King, former President K. Ray Bailey, Dean Kenet Adamson, SGA President William Clinton, and SGA Vice President Michael McCrennan, paid tribute to Dr. King and former President Harvey Haynes and celebrated 60 years in video, pictures, and stories. We also danced, took pictures, ate a phenomenal cake, and had a costume contest.
Check out the terrific 60th Anniversary Video produced by Spencer Black.
We also encourage you to see the 60th Anniversary Photo Exhibit in the Conference Center Art Gallery! While many people were involved in collecting 60 years of pictures from a variety of sources including archives, scrapbooks, yearbooks, digital files and clippings, special kudos go to Josh Weaver and Don Perkins of CRM for looking at all of them, producing 60 canvases, and hanging the exhibit in the art gallery. It is CRM’s gift to A-B Tech.
We also want to thank Vince Donatelli and his Baking & Pastry Arts students for the breathtaking cake – it was a true work of art that tasted as good as it looked!
