Adamson Named Dean of Arts and Sciences at A-B Tech




Kenet Adamson has been named Dean of Arts and Sciences at A-B Tech Community College. He previously served as the dean, as coordinator of the Program Advising Center, chair of the English and communications department and an English and humanities instructor for the College. He also taught full-time at Southwestern Community College in Sylva for three years.

Adamson has a bachelor of science in journalism from the University of Florida, a bachelor of arts in English from Georgia State University and a master of arts in English from Western Carolina University. He has been with the College full-time for 13 years. 

Adamson will provide leadership and coordination for the Arts and Sciences departments and programs, which include the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Fine Arts, Associate in Engineering, Associate in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, and Associate in Applied Science in Health & Fitness Science programs. As dean, he will also ensure arts and sciences courses and programs support the College’s mission and meet the educational needs of students, four-year colleges and universities, and employers.
