More than 60 College retirees attended a brunch in their honor December 15 in the Magnolia Dining Room with plans to make it an annual event. President Dennis King welcomed the group and gave them an update on the college. Director of College Advancement Amanda Edwards said 400 students received $500,000 in scholarships at the college this academic year.
Presidents Emeriti K. Ray Bailey and Harvey Haynes were also in attendance. “I still talk about A-B Tech and I bet you do, too. I see people every day who still need this college. It is all about the students who come here,” Bailey said.
