The Good Things for Young Children Summer Institute held a two-day workshop at A-B Tech. There were 54 educators from the region including teachers from Asheville City and Buncombe County Schools. The participants were teachers and teacher assistants of pre-k, and K classrooms. Their breakout sessions covered topics such as building community, cultivating math thinkers, creativity, building and engineering with blocks and early literacy. The institute is being put on by a group of early learning consultants from across the state.
