Learn Machining Applications I in Spanish at A-B Tech

A-B Tech Community College is starting a hands-on manufacturing training program that will be taught in Spanish and in conjunction with ESL support. Machining Applications will introduce students to machinery operations, the fundamentals of machining and manufacturing, and a high-quality transition into manufacturing as a machine operator or prepare them for a career as a machinist.

The class will prepare students for high-demand jobs that involve solving problems, working with the hands and mind, while building products. They will learn to safely operate machines and make parts to specifications and can earn national certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Financial Aid and scholarship funding is available regardless of immigration or income status. There is also career placement support and connection to employers offering full-time positions with benefits and opportunities for advancement

Classes begin January 31, Monday through Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Building on the Asheville campus. For more information, contact Becky Garland at 828-398-7144 or email rebeccagarland@abtech.edu.
