Menger Sponge Completed at Level 3

A-B Tech's Math Department has completed its campus-wide project of creating a level 3 Menger Sponge, which is an object with infinite surface area, but no volume. It is a three-dimensional fractal, which can be made by taking a cube and cutting out a square section through the center in each of three directions, then each of the resulting small cubes is cut out the same way, and so on. The A-B Tech community worked backward by folding business cards to create the cubes. The Menger Sponge is on display in the lower level of Locke Library.

It's a level 3 Menger Sponge
A level 0 is the basic/smallest cube (6 cards)
20 level 0s make a level 1 (120 cards)
20 level 1s make a level 2 (2400 cards)
20 level 2s make the level 3 (48,000 business cards)

“Various people constructed a level 2 cube. We then placed the 20 levels 2 cubes together to form level 3,” said Math Instructor James Wilson.
