PBL Represented at Virtual Fall Leadership Development Experience

Six students represented A-B Tech at the NC PBL Fall Leadership Development Experience: David Peck, Bethany Duke, Alexander Maddox, Kiva Jones-Wilmer, Cale Belcher, and Jazmin Vaughn.  As advisors, Marlene Frisbee and Veronica Dooly also participated. This year’s conference was virtual, but students were able to network with people from across the state and learn a bit about Phi Beta Lambda.

A-B Tech was recognized as the second largest chapter in the western region, the largest professional division membership in the western region, and the second largest professional division membership in the state.

The Non-Trivia team won first place placing above UNC Chapel Hill.  The members were Bethany Duke, Alexander Maddox, and Cale Belcher.  The Non-Trivia contest is a multiple-choice test on general Phi Beta Lambda information at the state and national level. The scores of each member was averaged.

David Peck won the $1,000 PBL Professional Division Foundation Scholarship.  This scholarship recognizes work in PBL and general leadership ability.
