Grade I and Grade II Biological Wastewater Operator training courses at A-B Tech will start on February 22, 2019.
Water pollution control facilities collect and treat contaminated water to prevent large-scale pollution from destroying our rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans. North Carolina is home to more than 1,000 facilities that collect and clean water for discharge or reuse. Each of these facilities is required to have a Certified Water Pollution Control Systems Operator on staff.
Classes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays from February 22, 2019, to April 19, 2019, on the Asheville campus. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion for both the Grade I and Grade II Biological Waste Water Operator training courses. Completers may then apply to sit for the June 13 Operator Certification Exam.
