Radiography Program Degree/Diploma Award and Certification Eligibility


All program graduates are eligible for the Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiography and, upon meeting all other requirements, are eligible to sit for the certification examination in Radiography administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). One who passes this national exam and meets all the other requirements will become a Registered Technologist in Radiography and can use initials R.T.(R)(ARRT) after their name.

 

ARRT Certification

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is the nationally recognized certifying body for the profession. Upon completion of the curriculum, the student will be eligible to sit for the Registry examination in Radiography. The exam is administered by computer-based testing and will be set up at a specified testing center, with the testing time, site, and date arranged after the application is received by the ARRT. A-B Tech graduates will be eligible to take the examination immediately following their spring completion of program requirements.
