- Aug. 21 - Sept. 6 — Trailblazer Quest: Campus scavenger hunt to collect 10 selfies from specific locations for a chance to win prizes.
- Aug. 29 @ 11:00 a.m. — Small Business Center Info Session: Thinking of starting a business, or building your current one, this info session is designed for you! Locke Library, room 120.
- Aug. 29 @ 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. — Tutoring Center Open House: Drop in for refreshments and to learn about tutoring options. Ferguson room 114.
- Aug. 30 @ 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. — Ice Cream Social at the Reset: Drop by the Reset room to Kickoff the semester with some ice cream. Elm 204
- Aug. 30 @ 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. — Treasured Tree Guided Walk: Take a break from the computer and get outside. Learn about the Treasured Tree program and meet our special awardees! Meet at the Beech Tree Deck behind the Coman Student Center.
- Aug. 31 @ 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon — Lawn Games: Take a study break and join the Student Life team for some fun in the sun. Cornhole, lawn darts, refreshments, and more. Beech Tree Deck behind the Coman Student Center.
- Sept. 6 @ 9:30 a.m. — 1 Mile Guided Campus Walk: Have some time between classes and want to get in a few steps. Join us for a guided one-mile walk around campus. Meet at the Beech Tree deck behind the Coman Student Center.
- Sept. 7 @ 11:00 a.m. — 2.4 Mile Guided Campus Walk: Take a study break and get moving with this 2.4-mile guided walk around campus. Meet at the Beech Tree deck behind the Coman Student Center.
- Sept. 7 @ 12:00 noon — Cardio & Weight Room Open House: Come by the Coman Student Activity Center to learn how you can use your A-B Tech ID to utilize the cardio/weight room for your fitness and well-being!
- Sept. 12 @ 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. — Fall Festival: Curriculum classes canceled from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Join the Student Life team around the Beech Tree Deck behind the Coman Student Center for food, music, environment booths, and more. Student ID required.
- Sept. 14 @ 2:00 p.m. — Professional Wardrobe Makeover: Join us at the free Career Clothes closet to learn creative ways to boost your professional attire. Learn about Career Services while enjoying some free "shopping". Meet in the Bailey building lobby.
- Sept. 18 @ 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. — Constitution Day: Stop the Student Life office for a pocket-sized U.S. Constitution. Coman Student Center.

Student Health Clinic
A-B Tech’s on-campus student/employee health clinic is located in the Ferguson Center for Allied Health and Workforce Development, Student Clinic. Students (18 years of age or older) and employees may visit the on-campus health clinic.
Services include treatment for aches and pains; blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol evaluations; prescriptions; minor emergencies; medical questions; and cold, flu, and virus care. The cost is $20 per 15-minute visit for students (with student ID). All patients will be seen on a walk-in basis. To make an appointment, call (828) 398-7570 or email healthclinic@abtech.edu.
Clubs and Societies
Want to get involved with a student organization? A-B Tech has over 18 student clubs and societies of all varieties. You might even have an idea for a student organization that we don’t currently have on campus. If so, drop by our Student Government office in the Coman Student Activity Center and speak with an SGA officer. We are always open to new ideas and will help you find a leadership role that is perfect for you. Completing your program this year?
If you will be completing your program (degree, diploma, certificate) this year, you must complete an Application for Program Completion. You can obtain an Application for Program Completion form in the K. Ray Bailey Student Services Building or at Graduation.
