Learn the fundamental skills and knowledge required for entry-level bartending. Emphasis is placed on bar setup and organization, identification and use of professional tools and glassware, standard drink preparation techniques, garnish preparation, responsible alcohol service, and compliance with North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission regulations. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate proficiency in basic pouring and mixing techniques, describe fundamental bar operations, and prepare a variety of classic alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Prerequiste: Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program (RASP). Prerequisite: Must be 21 years of age or older on first day of the course to enroll.
