Asheville, N.C. (WLOS) — A-B Tech held its graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 11, awarding more than 850 degrees, diplomas, and certificates to students this spring semester.
Around 380 students walked at Saturday's commencement.
The school's president reflected on what the ceremony meant to him.
"We are so excited. This is the combination of a lot of hard work by our students and our faculty, along with our staff who helped support these students get to where we are today," said A-B Tech President John Gossett. "So, this is a wonderful, wonderful day and we're excited about it."
Gossett added that he's proud of what these graduates have gotten through in dealing with hybrid learning during the COVID pandemic.
He said he's also looking forward to watching them achieve success in the future as they go forward.
