The Enka-Candler Tailgate Market is launching its first Holiday Market in the A-B Tech Enka parking lot. The market will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. Dozens of local vendors will be set up to sell crafts, natural body products, prepared foods, and much more.
COVID-19 precautions will be in place and everyone is asked to wear a mask since social distancing is not possible at all times even though it is outdoors. Sanitation stations will be available and encouraged upon entering the Market area. There will be a warm beverage vendor, as well as food and music.

The Enka-Candler Tailgate Market’s purpose is to promote local agriculture and heritage crafts in Western North Carolina, to provide the Enka-Candler community with a market for fresh local produce and other quality products, and to serve as an educational resource. It is run by Asheville Farmstead School, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation, along with an Advisory Committee, volunteers, and involved community members.
* Seventy-Five percent of Enka-Candler Tailgate Market proceeds (after Market business and maintenance costs) will go towards a student and summer camp scholarship fund for Asheville Farmstead School to promote diversity and accessibility to children learning about themselves and nature through farm and forest. The remaining 25% will be given back to the local Enka-Candler community, directed by the Enka-Candler Tailgate Market Advisory Committee.
