A-B Tech Spring Nursing Program Now Accepting Applicants through October 25

Start in January 2025 and Earn a Degree in Five Semesters

Admission to the A-B Tech School of Nursing’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) degree program is now open. Prospective students must apply by the October 25 deadline.

Upon completion of five semesters of nursing coursework, graduates are awarded an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing degree and are qualified to take the licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) that is required to practice as a registered nurse. A-B Tech’s two most recent graduating classes achieved a 100 percent passing rate on the NCLEX-RN exam.

“The A-B Tech School of Nursing validates the college’s commitment to educational excellence and to assuring that our nursing education programs meet the healthcare workforce needs of our community,” Christy Andrews, the Jack and Carolyn Ferguson Endowed Chair for the School of Nursing. “Nursing is one of the most respected, challenging, yet rewarding careers in the world. And nurses are more in demand than ever, with more than 12,000 openings projected in the next few years and salaries at an all-time high.”

A Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate is no longer required for admission to the ADN program, but successful applicants must be a high school graduate or have an Adult High School or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, meet the minimum standards for anatomy and physiology coursework, and achieve a passing score on the ATI TEAS Exam. Prospective applicants are invited to attend A-B Tech’s Allied Health and School of Nursing Open House on September 26 to meet nursing faculty and tour our facility. Learn more and register at Allied Health and School of Nursing Open House.
