Library Cards & Borrowing
A-B Tech Student & Employee ID Cards
A-B Tech photo ID cards are issued to curriculum students and employees and serve as your library card. This card is required to check out materials.
Community Library Cards
Continuing Education students and non-students (age 18+) may apply for a community library card at the library. A valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) is required.
Borrowing & Responsibility
- A date-due receipt is provided at checkout.
- Borrowers are responsible for all items checked out on their card.
- Courtesy overdue notices are sent by email; failure to receive one does not waive fines.
- Lost or damaged items will be billed for replacement plus processing fees.
- Books and media may be renewed one time in person or online unless there is a hold on the item. Visit the library online catalog to access your library account (you must go through the SSO Multifactor Authentication) and renew your items.
- Library materials are the property of the State of North Carolina. Please handle with care.
